Very cute English or French Staunton set
Another nice little find in a charity shop - this one in a lovely little biscuit tin from circa 1930. I think the set would date from 1900 or thereabouts. Some similarities to both the BCC Popular sets, and also (perhaps more strongly) early French Lardy sets. Nice quality wood.
