Nicely carved bone set from a games compendium
A nicely carved bone set, contained in a less-common compendium which is not in a wood box, but a "book" style box. Nicely detailed inner leather tray with dominoes, draughts/backgammon counters, chess set, and leather dice shakers. Kings 3.1". I believe this is a Georgian set (early 19th century) - one because of the style of chess set in the compendium, but also because of the presence of two ivory dice with a crown mark and GR stamped on them (as part of the Stamp Act).
