Flat lead chess set produced by The Rose Chess Company, circa 1941. Very play worn patina on this one, which I actually find preferable to some sets which have been repainted. 2.27" (5.76 cm) kings. Various stampings to base - some with just "Made in England", other with "Rose" and others with patent numbers.
