Eastern Testament (?) chess set, modern
I very rarely buy completely new chess sets. And whilst this was still a second-hand purchase, I believe the set is of very recent manufacture.
Google-lens can be terrifically helpful (and sometimes dreadful!) - which led me to Chess Baron's website, and their "Eastern Testament" set, which looks identical - save that my set is not double weighted and has slightly different dimensions.
A whim purchase because it was so darn cheap that it could become an easily gifted set to someone who might need to be "chessabled". The unusual design also attracted me; it is somewhat reminiscent of Dublin style sets, with bulbous curvy bodies. And pawns which resemble tear drops - as Chess Baron's website puts it "just like those of your opponent as you checkmate with a flourish".
Kings 3.92", base diameter 1.15", weight 21.4g.
