"A move ahead" chess set circa early 1970s

An unusual set from the early 70s - I believe made as a promotional item for a mosaic tile company called Kervit Ceramics, of Penketh, Lancashire.  Company accounts show that the company was in the process of being wound up in 1975.

The pieces are made of plastic, similar to a Lego feel.  You almost get two sets in one - with four sides with more detailed figures, and the tops with piece symbols.

This particular set came in its original small cardboard box, along with the ceramic mosaic board.  I think the board may have arrived in kit form to allow the recipient to create their own pattern in the plastic surround.

Kings stand a mere 1.88" tall.
