Jaques Staunton "Steinitz" weighted tournament set c1876

Another lovely example of a Steinitz for my cabinet, this time a loaded boxwood and ebony tournament set in a nice mahogany box.

A lovely little inscription on the original label pinpoints the date of the set, or at least when it was gifted, to late 1876.

Kings 3.5" tall. White king weighs 56g, but the black king is considerably heavier at 80g.
