Tam-o-Shanter St George, late 19th century
An unusual form St George, turned and carved from boxwood and ebony. Unweighted, with 3.6" kings.
The kings reminded me strongly of Peter Rabbit wearing his Tam-o-Shanter, so that is my shorthand for this set - the Tam-o-Shanter St George.
I managed to source some glass beads, which I added to the knights as I believe these would originally have had glass eyes. Currently they are only temporarily fixed in place, but I think I might make them more permanent at some point because they fit it so well.
