Small "slope" knight set, late 1800s/early 1900s?
Small slope knight set, with 2.2" kings. I understand these were "cheaply" made sets, because the knight forgoes its usual carved horses head for a simply slope cut style (the knights being the one piece which usually can't be turned quickly on a lathe). Although these sets are "cheaply" made, this particular example has what appears to be ebony and boxwood pieces.
