1935 Botvinnik Flohr-II reproduction, 4.4"

My first "Russian" set - though likely made in Ukraine in the 21st century. This was for sale on eBay along with at least five other reproduction sets, which had been donated to the British Heart Foundation charity. A group of collector friends were all interested in one or more set, so we came to an agreement as to which ones to pursue. Between four of us, we managed to purchase five of the sets. We are currently trying to identify the makers of the various sets - with OldSet of Etsy being a prime favourite. Very sadly, a message was posted to OldSet's page in 2022 "Good Afternoon. Andrii, the owner of this store, died protecting his family and the Motherland". Very poignant and sad.
