Unusual Dublin form set, circa 1850?
Dublin sets are always a joy to find, and from my experience there can be considerable variation in form. Certainly a less common find than a Staunton or St George set. The knights in this set are quite unusual, exhibiting quite a bit of character - they look like the love-child of a dog-faced knight with a George Merrifield St George! Not weighted nor felted, but with very smooth polished bases. Dating is quite hard, but from the form I would suggest 1830-1850 would be reasonable.
