Chess, Sutton Coldfield c1944

A fairly pristine example of a folding chess board sold via the Baruch Harold Wood's magazine publication Chess, based in Sutton Coldfield.  The board retained what I believe to be its original glassine sheet, to protect the board surface (presumably from bleed of ink).  The board came with a couple of booklets, including The Laws of Chess published by Chess, Sutton Coldfield, England, in 1944.

I have photographed the board with a "Coldfield" chess set, designed by B.H.Wood himself.
