A lovely framed board, in the style of Jaques or BCC. in fact, when I bought the board I was quite hopeful that I could declare it to be a Jaques framed board (something which eluded me then, and still does today!).

The measurements of the board match perfectly with a Jaques board, as per the measurements helpfully provided by Jaques in their advertisement for chess boards in their The ABC of Chess, By a Lady booklet, which was sold to accompany their sets. The only drawback is that the board is not stamped Jaques anywhere - though I have seen Jaques boards with small labels attached to the back panel...so there still remains the possibility that I do have a framed Jaques here, but I will never know for certain, sadly (unless I get the chance to compare it side by side with a known Jaques board, perhaps!)
