My very first framed board, and very special to me as a result.  This is a beautiful board, with lighter coloured wood than many Victorian boards. The playing surface is beautiful, with particularly attractive woodgrain to the dark squares. My dating is imprecise, but I think "late Victorian" or "early Edwardian" would be fair. 

An unknown maker, though there is the tantalising prospect it once carried an embedded maker's plaque, given the empty recess on the top of the frame.
