Jaques Staunton "Steinitz/Lasker" mix Club set c1870-1885
A bit of a survivor, this set. From my experience, full club Jaques Steinitz sets are very scarce indeed - and this one is but a part survivor. I think it is likely that the set originally belonged to a chess club, and the pieces became rather mixed with another set at the club, with almost equal parts Steinitz (c1870) and Lasker (c1885). The box is original, I think, to the older set, as the felt in the box better matches that of the pieces. Kings are approx 4.3" tall (though with replacement crosses).
The set was also in a sorry state when I acquired it, with multiple chips and losses, including to the black Steinitz knight's upper jaw and upper mane - a bit of plastic surgery (as I call my Milliput repairs) and he has his smile back on his face (see the photo for the difference a small piece of black gloop can make).
